Unit 1 - Design for Craft
This unit provides a practical introduction to the skills and knowledge needed to begin the design process for craft. It aims to assess the ability to use a range of materials and mediums, based on a personal approach, in order to understand the visual implications of the design process.

Unit 2 - Pattern Cutting
Learn how to take accurate body measurements.
The ability to use tools and equipment safely and correctly.
Create ¼ scale blocks for adaptions.
Manipulate darts and dispose of fullness.
Learn how to create style lines, as-well as drafting collars, cuffs, facings, pockets and waistbands.
Research into current trends and designers. Creating clear design sketches and drawings.
Marking patterns.

Tuition for classes is £20 per guided learning hour, this covers your guided learning hours for the course, costs of some course materials, use of tools and machines, assessment, internal verification and external verification.
