Class Description
Golden Rosebuds is a warm, welcoming sewing course for young creatives aged 8–14 (older on request), designed to help every child grow in confidence, skill and imagination.
Whether they’re building on their First Stitches experience or already happily sewing at home, students learn at their own pace in a supportive, mixed‑ability environment where curiosity is encouraged and creativity thrives.
Across each 6‑week block, Rosebuds work through a series of fun, achievable projects designed to strengthen their technical foundations. They’ll build confidence with the sewing machine, explore fabrics and patterns in more depth, and begin to understand how garments and accessories are constructed. Each project is chosen to stretch their skills just the right amount — helping them “bloom” into more capable, independent makers.
All standard materials and tools are provided, so students can focus fully on learning, experimenting and creating.
Classes run during term time, with payment taken per 6‑week block. Students simply bring their curiosity and enthusiasm.
Golden Rosebuds is the perfect place for young sewists to flourish, make friends, and discover the joy of creating something truly their own.
Is this right for me?
There are only 5 spaces available in each 6‑week block, ensuring every child receives individual attention, clear guidance, and plenty of hands‑on support.
Bud to Bloom – Next Stitches is designed for children who already have some sewing experience — either from completing First Stitches or from learning the basics elsewhere. It’s ideal for young designers and curious makers who are ready to build on their early skills, try new techniques, and take on more structured sewing projects.
If your child is a complete beginner, our First Stitches course is the perfect starting point before moving into Bud to Bloom.
What do I need to bring?
All materials and tools needed for the course projects are provided, so students don’t need to bring anything sewing‑related with them.
For safety, long hair must be tied back and open‑toed shoes are not permitted during sewing sessions.
If your child has particular dietary requirements, allergies or preferences, please feel free to send them with their own drink and snack for the session.

Cancellations
Please check the dates carefully prior to booking. Once an order is placed it cannot be refunded.
If for any reason you are unable to attend please contact us and we will try to find someone to take your place. Golden Rose Sewing School is not contractually obliged to find a replacement but we can try to find someone as a gesture of good will. If this is not possible feel free to send a substitute. If you book a class for several days duration please make sure you can attend all days. Once made, a booking cannot be transferred to an alternative date.
All classes must be paid for in full either prior to the event or on the day of the event. If you have paid a deposit this is non-refundable.
Payment for the deposit can be made on the website. Payments for the remaining balance can be paid by bank transfer or by card at the school. We do not store or have access to your bank details. This is securely processed by Wix payments and Sumup.
In the unlikely event that a class is cancelled, we will attempt to give as much warning as possible. We will email you and phone you if you have provided us with a telephone number. We will refund your booking fee or transfer you to another class of the same value, space permitting. Unfortunately, we cannot accept responsibility for wasted travel cost.
